Kristi is a super sweet friend of mine. I was one of the first ones to know she was pregnant (I always love to brag about that)–and I was also super happy to find out she was pregnant. Kristi and her husband, Brian, are expecting a sweet little girl, Vivienne, in December. For their maternity shoot, we started in Vivi’s nursery for a more lifestyle look and then headed out into the glorious golden sunset! Kristi is also a photographer and is a lover of film–so I was very excited to be able to use some grain and grunge these organic looking images up a bit.
Kristi, you are going to be an amazing mother. I’m so happy for you and Brian to be able to experience such an awesome little gift and watch your baby girl grow.

I have had the privilege of photographing the Ellis family for three years now. It’s been such a joy to watch their little ones grow. This family is so laid back and easy-going–it’s alway a great time when I get to photograph them (and they are very speedy, hehe). Seriously though, they are the nicest people! Meet the wonderful Evans family–some of the greatest friends! Nicole and I became friends by meeting at our first session over two years ago. We needed to update their family portraits because they added another little Evans to the bunch! We went with a very “fall-ish” vibe for this session and I think they turned out beautifully–although, that’s not hard to do when you have such a beautiful family.

The Meinika family and I got down right muddy for our session! We’ve had a lot of rain here in Fort Wayne lately, but I have never seen this spot so wet. They were awesome about it though–and Piper seemed to actually enjoy it! This session felt very “Where the Wild Things Are” to me. I love the earthy and organic colors and the fact that these are neutral and timeless photographs.

I have had the privilege of photographing the Spencer family for three years now. I just love this family–I mean, how can you not? Look at the adorable-ness! Leslie is the blog mom behind Dream Big Little One, which tell their story of raising their daughter with achondroplasia, otherwise known as dwarfism. Check out her blog to learn more and learn how to raise awareness. Anyways, this time around I was able to meet Leslie’s extended family and photograph them at her parent’s house at Big Long Lake. About a week or so ago, I had the time to photograph some of my close friends’ kid’s/family (of course I snuck in some of my own kiddos). Our third child is due in just a few short weeks, so I wanted to make sure they all had some photos before I had no time to do anything! It was the perfect evening for this shoot and this park is just so beautiful right now–I’m so glad everyone could make it.

The Hunt family has become near and dear friends of mine. A couple of other girlfriends and I actually met Jessica’s husband Darren at the park and from there, we connected with Jess. Come to find out, they lived right down the street from us in our awesome little neighborhood! We did a quick little family shoot while Darren’s oldest boys were in town for the weekend.
